“I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”
I moved to Holmer Green in April 1982 with my husband Alan, who had been born and brought up in the village until he chose a career at sea. With our two sons, Paul and David we began attending the Church as a family straight away, as it was the Hodgson family "chapel" and we quickly became part of it.
Since late 1982 I've also attended the Women's Fellowship and been the "thrift club" treasurer for over 30 years, and been a committee member and WF Treasurer for many years. During the fund-raising years I was part of the craft team and also organised the Christmas Fayres, especially the cake stall which Val and I baked for and manned. A progression I guess was to become part of the Pop-in team.
I served as a Deacon from 2007-2010 and was responsible for the Church and Manse maintenance and improvements, and safety checks. Once again I have taken on property and health and safety responsibilities.
From an early age I have always believed in God and Jesus's life, death and resurrection and I believe that being a member of the Bible study/life groups has developed my growth in knowledge, wisdom and faith.
