“Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you.”

Romans 12:2

I started coming to Holmer Green Baptist church while homeless back in 2012. I was always made welcome so after 18 months in Betel I returned to continue worshiping here (even though my closest church is across the road from me in Wycombe).

Since becoming a member I have become responsible for the Audio Visual equipment and can quite often been seen hiding at the back during services (more often spotted when things go wrong).

I am also active among the children’s groups often helping with the Youth Group, Sunday Club, Playmates and Messy Church.

As well as my church based activities I am also currently studying theology at Spurgeon’s college.

I don’t generally have a favourite Bible verse, it really depends on what God is doing in my life at the moment. One that I have put on my wall though is:

“Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you.” - Romans 12:2 (TLB)

For me it serves as a reminder that my life experience is what showed me how God has and is working in my life. And everyone can do that to.
