Weekly Activities

The Church is used by a number of groups who are not affiliated to the church. However the groups listed below are associated with the church.

TUESDAY

Playmates  9:30 - 11:00 am

For pre-school children and their carers. A friendly atmosphere with toys and activities, coffee and chat. Everyone welcome. Feel free to pop in. Term-time only. £1.50 per family.

WEDNESDAY

Time 4 God. 11:15am

On the first Wednesday of each month (except August) there is a 45 minute traditional service in the church. This includes hymns, prayers, the Lord's prayer, a Bible reading and a short talk and is followed by coffee. Many who attend this then stay and enjoy a pop-in lunch.

Pop-In Lunch 12:30pm

A light lunch of soup followed by baked potatoes or ploughman's (depending on the season) with tea or coffee is served on the first and third Wednesdays of the month (except August). As the name implies, anyone can pop in to any lunch without pre-booking but please be at the church by 12:30 as lunch is served promptly. There is a small charge for the lunch (currently  £3)

Mid week groups  These occur at different venues and at different times during the week, if you would like to join one please either leave a message for Mike on 01494 712479, email the church on hgbaptistchurch@tiscali.co.uk or talk to one of the deacons after the Sunday morning service.


THURSDAY

Church open for Prayer 8:00 to 18:00

Monthly on the first thursday of each month the church is open for anyone to come in and find a tranquil environment, peace and quietness. A time to reflect, to focus on God, to pray and to listen. It also a time where should you want it, someone will pray with you.


Women's Fellowship 2:15pm

Members and friends meet in the hall on alternate Thursdays to share in Christian fellowship together. There is often an outside speaker or themed talk and always tea afterwards. Anyone is welcome. For details of the present programme of events and speakers, please contact:
