30 October
Don’t forget Thursday is our monthly day of prayer. Take a few moments during the day to pray for our fellowship and the community in which we live. If you can’t make it between 8am and 4pm or at 8pm then why not take a prayer sheet and join in when you can, where ever you find yourself. Don’t forget that we meet between 8pm and 9pm to end the day in prayer and praise. Come when you can, go when you must. What you might need to know If you are new to this church you may be interested to know :- There is a loop system for those who are hard of hearing, Crèche is provided for babies/toddlers in the hall, and a Sunday Club group is available for pre-schoolers to age 11 in the hall from approx 11am. Please stay after the service to have a coffee/tea and biscuits, these are available in the hall. If you would like someone to pray with you after the service, please either ask someone you know and trust or move to a seat on the front row where Mike or a nominated person will be available. Do not feel too embarrassed to do this. We believe in prayer. Don’t forget to check out www.whereswallace.org for more information please see Mary and Ron Lacey THANK YOU Once again a big thank you to all those who filled shoe boxes or gave generous donations we took 90 boxes over to South Heath on Sunday where they will now be on their way to needy children and families in Eastern Europe. For most of these children and families this will be the only present they receive this Christmas we have so much and they have so little. Please pray for all these families. ONE CAN TRUST Charity This is a local charity based at St Andrews church High Wycombe it has been formed to provide food parcels for families 'in crisis' in the High Wycombe area. We can help them to help others. All we need to do is to buy an extra can or packet each week when you do your shopping (why not get a “buy one get one free” and donate the “free” one…!! or pick up a copy of the shopping list – these are on the “marmalade” table, to find out what is needed). Please put any donations in the box under the “marmalade” table and pass on this message to friends and family. If you have any questions or know of any families who could benefit from a food parcel then please chat to Val Allcorn. Thanks for your support. Leprosy Mission Christmas is coming and Mary Lacey has now received a copy of this year’s Leprosy Mission Christmas catalogue. If you would like to browse through it then please talk to her. If you have an item for this newsheet, please phone (714689) or email it to:- hgbaptistchurch@tiscali.co.uk by Thursday afternoon. Please be aware that it will not be possible to include any items received after this. Thank you.
