What you might need to know

If you are new to this church you may be interested to know :-

There is a loop system for those who are hard of hearing, Crèche is provided for babies/toddlers in the hall, and a Sunday Club group is available for pre-schoolers to age 11 in the hall from approx 11am. Please stay after the service to have a coffee/tea and biscuits, these are available in the hall.

 

If you would like someone to pray with you after the service, please either ask someone you know and trust or move to a seat on the front row where Mike or a nominated person will be available.  Do not feel too embarrassed to do this.  We believe in prayer.

November 29th – Gold Hill Baptist Church Jonathan Edwards is speaking on Advent and a vision for BUGB. Tea and coffee at 7:45pm

Where’s Wallace? - Matt is currently in Newcastle and will be making his way to Knaresborough (Harrogate) by Thursday to stay with his uncle Phil and family for a couple of days. He’s set himself a target of raising £6,000 and having 850 facebook followers by midnight tomorrow, unfortunately he’s quite a long way from those targets at the moment. Leprosy Mission Christmas is coming and Mary Lacey has now received a copy of this year’s Leprosy Mission Christmas catalogue. If you would like to browse through it then please talk to her.

Congratulations to Angela Stillwell who will be getting married to Justin Gill in Brighouse on Saturday 26th November. Our pray is that they will be very happy in their new life together.

POLICE NOTICE – from 14th November you can dial 101 to contact the police on non-emergency matters. These calls cost 15p and replaces the old 0845 number.

Lighthouse Quiz is now available at £1 per copy. This year’s topic is – Parts of the Body – E.g. Rowntrees did fruit ones - (4) gums. Last year we sold 120 so hopefully we can do the same this year. Why not put one in a Christmas card to a friend - they will have a chance of winning £20.00 and it will certainly help Lighthouse funds.. Radio 2 listeners – Angela Stillwell works for CAP (Campaign against Poverty) and their chief executive is being interview next Sunday on Radio 2 by Aled Jones – 8am ish.

Church Meeting – a reminder that this a church meeting at the church on Monday 21st – 7:45pm – all are welcome, Agenda’s available in the Foyer.
