Music, Worship, Prayer, BBQ and Bouncy Castle…..!!!

We remember 14 June 2009 as a beautiful sunny day. A day when we left behind our Church buildings and joined with members of our village and the surrounding area to praise God on Holmer Green Common. It was a great day which we all enjoyed and so we are going to do it again this year on Sunday 27 June 2010. We want to share our knowledge of God with you, we want you to join with us in praising God (X-alt who provided the music last year are coming back again – brilliant). All the local churches, Christchurch, the Methodist Church, St Edmunds Campion and the Baptist Church are joining together in co-ordinating a service on the Common to which everyone is invited.

It won’t be the same as last year as we have had a few new ideas. There isn’t going to be a fancy dress competition for the younger children, instead we are hoping to have a bouncy castle and possibly a ride (these will be free and available before and after the service). Last year we suggested that people brought a picnic, but this year to help the adults overcome their disappointment of not having a go on the bouncy castle, and the confusion of not knowing whether to bring a picnic or not we intend to provide either a burger or a hot-dog to have along with a cup of tea or soft drink. All you need to do is be there and bring something to sit on – a chair or a rug would be fine. So please make a note in your diary to come along, we look forward to seeing you there.
